Flooding and Sandbag Location

The unprecedented winter of 2022/2023 brought the Sierra's  large amount of snow pack.  In the coming thaw of this snow pack the potential for flooding is very high.  For residence and businesses along creeks, you might want to start preparing for high water levels and potential flooding.

Thank you to the CalFire Owens Valley crew for coming to June Lake and filling approximately 1,500 sandbags! These sandbags are at the JL Community Center next to the Sheriff Substation.
